  The river and bay bottom sediments are badly contaminated with thousands of pounds of toxic chemicals called PCBs (polychlorinated biphenyls), which have flowed downstream and spread throughout Green Bay and Lake Michigan. These PCBs threaten public and wildlife health. <br><br>
